Various religious denominations form Interreligious Social Council in Venezuela

On April 22nd, representatives of the Catholic and Anglican church, the Jewish community, the Evangelical Council of Venezuela and other social organizations signed a declaration creating the Interreligious Social Council of Venezuela.

The Council aim to be a space for reflection and action to generate consensus on how to mitigate the country’s problems. Its main objective is to strengthen the capacity for integration between the different sectors in the country to deal with the humanitarian emergency, to find peace and rebuild the country, whether it is in the field of religion, politics or social affairs.
